Little Fish Preschool
"Preparing little ones for what's beyond the fish bowl."

Our Curriculum
At Little Fish Preschool our curriculum is the same for both of our in-person and online preschool classes. Our curriculum has a combination of many types to provide a variety of art, craft, worksheets, science experiments, and projects to our students to make learning engaging and fun! Every child learns differently, therefore, the curriculum we provide is developmentally appropriate for young children ages 3-5 years old. Our many art and craft projects we have hand-picked and designed ourselves, including familiar Bible-based homeschool curriculum, children's ministry church curriculum, and other early childhood teacher resources to provide our students with the best!

Curriculum Rotation

Every other school year our curriculum rotates so our students won't repeat the same lessons, however, to provide consistency there will be some familiar aspects.

The lessons that will be different every school year are our science themes, Bible verses, worship songs, Bible units, general songs, work booklets, most supplies/materials, story books, etc.

The aspects that tend to stay the same are the layout of our color days, classroom parties, monthly unit (color, number, shape, & letter), some Bible lessons, and educational tools/manipulatives that the teacher uses.
age groups
Our academic and Bible curriculum lessons are taught at the same time to both age groups. However, their workbooks and some crafts may not be the same everyday. We try to build on each child's academic development to prepare them for kindergarten. Some examples of the differences are explained below:
PRESCHOOL
Ages 3-4 years old

Our preschoolers will be working through the "My First School Book" by Learning Without Tears. This workbook covers the following in the development of pre-writing fine motor skills:

Our preschoolers will be working through the "Alphabet on Parade" by Mailbox. This teaching resource provides our students with a craft that relates to the letter of the week. Children will create their own letter puppet that involves painting, gluing, stamping, coloring, or some other fun activity. These puppets are very simplistic and bold in shape which makes it the perfect age appropriate letter craft to do with preschoolers! A letter book will be included with each puppet as an additional project to finish anytime at home.

Children will create their own letter puppet that involves painting, gluing, stamping, coloring, or some other fun activity. These puppets are more detailed and include a poem with each letter which makes it the perfect age appropriate letter craft to do with pre-kindergarteners! A letter book will be included with each puppet as an additional project to finish anytime at home.
