Small Classes
Our online class consists of no more than 5 students per class. The reason is to give each child more one-on-one time with their friends and the teacher. The smaller the group, the more we get to know eachother. Plus our students can see their friends' faces more clearly on a bigger screen!

Developmentally Age Appropriate
All curriculum and lessons are developmentally appropriate for young children ages 3-5 years old. Mid-year assessments will be provided to parents during our parent/teacher conferences so they may see where their child is at to prepare them for kindergarten. To learn about our curriculum click here.

Class Session
Monday—Thursday: 5:00pm—5:30 pm (Pacific Standard Time)
-
LIVE 30 min. online class session per day
-
Pre-recorded 20-30 min. video activity lesson per day
*We may offer another class depending on demand.
*We use the Zoom platform for our online class.

West Coast Students
We enroll students who reside in the West Coast under Pacific Standard Time. This includes Oregon, California, and Washington. All our virtual field trips are in Oregon which is located in the West Coast where Little Fish Preschool’s physical location is at.

Tuition & Fees
One time enrollment fee at beginning of school year and monthly flat rate tuition payment:

-
Enrollment Fee: $120 (one time fee)
-
Monthly Tuition: $140 (flat rate)
-
No other fees!

Supplies & Materials
We ship to you all the supplies, materials, and curriculum for the school year at no extra cost! Once enrolled, your child will receive their "Little Fish Box" which includes all general supplies and materials for the school year. Every month we will ship you your child's monthly supply box that has all of what they need for the coming month of school. To view supply list of materials click here.

Newsletter & Calendar
Every month parents will receive a newsletter and calendar in the mail. The newsletter will cover the science unit, color, letter, number, and Bible verse of the month. The calendar will inform of what specific topis will be covered each day and any special events/holidays.

Daily Activities
Under each calendar is stapled the "Daily Activities & Supplies" that will be needed for our pre-recorded Activity Time lesson for each day. These include visual pictures of what is needed, a list below of the specific items (*these are in the child's monthly supply box), and the links to the lessons that will be listed below.

Virtual Field Trips & Special Guests
We film, edit, and create our own Oregon virtual field trips and special guest videos for our students and develop a coloring worksheet that guides the students' learning as they watch the videos. No other online preschool does this except us! These unique videos are always educational, relate to our science themes, and offered monthly for our students to watch.

Special Days & Parties
Special days and parties where our students get a chance to celebrate together are:
-
Monthly Color Days - wear the color of the month
-
Thanksgiving & Jesus' Birthday Christmas party
-
Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, & Easter party
-
PJ party & End of the Year party

Special Programs
Our Christmas program and Graduation Ceremony program will be held during the school year. These are performed over our recorded LIVE class sessions, edited, and sent to our enrolled families. See your little one sing, dance, recite poems and Bible verses with their friends!

Fishy Friend Time & Sharing Day
To end our week with a bang, every Thursday we will have an opportunity to talk, share, and reflect on our week together. This is an important time to check-in with each other. We will even get a chance to show off our cool crafts that we created that week at home!

Movie Time
On Thursdays, after Fishy Friend Time, our students can watch a special 20-30 min. educational movie. This video is based off of a Bible, science, or other educational theme.

Play Time
Yes, you read this correctly...play time! Playing is the best way children learn. By playing fun virtual games and having toys that children are interested in, little ones will get to play, learn, and interact together.

Bible, Prayer, & Worship
Bible stories, simple Bible verse to memorize each month, daily prayers, and fun worship songs to praise God with. Let's learn about God by praying to Him, singing songs to Him, doing interactive Bible stories, and more!

Arts & Crafts

Mathematics
Learn and recognize numbers, colors, shapes, patterns, and more! In both our LIVE teaching and pre-recorded Activity sessions we count, put together puzzles, use our curriculum workbook, use manipulatives, play games, and more to make math fun for everyone!

Literacy & Writing
Daily book reading is a key feature in our LIVE Teaching Time sessions to expand on our topic of the day. Our students learn to identify letters and numbers together as as class by discussion and games. We also practice writing letters and numbers from our curriculum workbook during our pre-recorded Activity Time sessions.

Basic Life Skills / Social Skills
Our students learn basic life skills such as taking turns, communicating ideas, answering questions, and listening to their friends and the teacher during our LIVE sessions. Young children learn how to raise their hand, wait for the teacher to call their name to speak. Believe it or not, young children are capable of learning these skills even virtually!

Small & Large Motor Skills
Jump, run, stretch, crawl, twirl, and snap! Our class is full of constant daily movement to keep our little ones engaged and to exercise our small and large motor skills (small and large body muscles). Body movement is weaved into all we do and is a must!

Science & Sensory Play
Science in our class is incorporated into simple diagrams, educational books, puppets, dressing our weather bear, developmentally appropriate science experiments, and intentional sensory play. We even play with sensory-based items during Fishy Friend Times.

Music & Movement
Fingerplays, silly songs, and worship songs are a few ways we get to use our voices to sing and move our bodies. Children at this age need to move in order to stay on task, therefore it is no secret that music and movement are embedded into our class sessions.

One-On-One Assessments
Even though we are virtual, assessing our students one-on-one is a must to see where they are at academically. We gather our assessment information for each student by:
-
Observing each student during our LIVE sessions.
-
Working together by gaining specific vital information from our students' parents.
-
Setting up a one-one-one assessment time with the student in December to gather more information.

Parent / Teacher Conferences
In January we have parent/teacher conferences over Zoom where we meet with each parent one-on-one to discuss their child's assessment. The assessment covers where their child is at developmentally and academically in order to see if they are on the right track for kindergarten.
